Andy Hug had to overcome many obstacles during his lifetime to achieve his goals:
lacking social recognition, a lack of support from society and discrimination of his sport and person were part of his life.

Time and again he managed to face up to the challenges to achieve his goals. His unshakable belief in himself illustrates the meaning of fighting for something with all the power of his heart. 

When Andy became the world's supreme martial artist he dreamed of giving youngsters the opportunity to discover their abilities and encourage them to take their future into their own hands.

The Andy Hug Foundation aims to promote that idea.
